Waves & Wobbles has been getting more love more love more love more love! We're getting featured in a lot of amazing playlists! So thankful for all the curators and magazines giving us a little spotlight to shine!
Our track Before it Blows Up from part 1 of our new release Waves & Wobbles was featured on Obscure Sound's Best of April playlist! Obscure Sound is an independent music blog featuring an excellent curation of music since 2006 and we are so stoked to be highlighted in this month's feature playlist.
If anyone who lives out in the Caribbean likes any of our music and reads this CAN WE PLEASE COME HANG OUT??? The CBN put Before it Blows Up in a radio DJ que and featured Mike Tyson on their Mixology Music playlist on Spotify.
Theocide Records (Spotify | Website ) out of Spain has featured multiple Loveseat's tracks! We appreciate the enthusiastic response we always get from this crew! Check out their Best Hip Hop Playlist 2021 on Spotify!
Listen now on Tidal
After several delays our two-part full-length album is finally here! It should be available on most streaming platforms by the end of the week!
Why Tidal?
Well, to be honest, although Spotify pays streaming revenue sooner and has more users, Tidal pays artists more than 3x as much per stream. And although Spotify has more social media-like features, Tidal honestly sounds better and is clearly the better option for music lovers and audiophiles. If your goal is to support artists, you should buy direct or from BandCamp. But if you prefer to stream music you should use a platform that pays artists better than Spotify, Apple, or Pandora. Oh, and the "pays streaming revenue sooner" thing I mentioned? If you're an artist wondering how often you'll get paid... Spotify pays out monthly if not multiple times per month vs. Tidal which seems to take 6 months to a year to send out streaming revenue... Kinda makes you wish more people owned record players. So anyway, Spotify is less revenue per stream paid more frequently and with more users while Tidal has better audio quality, pays much more per stream, but pays out hopefully someday. A bunch of artists organized recently and protested at the Spotify headquarters because of how whack everything is. How much difference does it really make though? Does anything even matter anymore? Doesn't it seem like we've slipped through our accepted understanding of capitalism and landed into something much, much worse?
We fucked up. Our album definitely did not come out April 1st, 2021. It was a huge, terrible joke, that we mostly played on ourselves.
Waves & Wobbles will *absolutely* 100% be coming out April 20, 2021. Four fuckin' twenty. A year to the day from our EP release Rough Seas last year.

Got drunk and stoned and ranted about streaming platforms
Hey friends! We've got some exciting announcements for the three to four people who may ever read this!
Our full-length album Waves & Wobbles is nearing completion and is scheduled for release on April 1st, 2021! At roughly 56 minutes of music over 16 tracks, this is the longest completed work we've released as a band since 2008. The album, which is being published as two separate 8-track releases, has all custom artwork done by KATERYNA BEREZOVSKA from the Ukraine, and is designed to either be listened to as one complete work or two separate expressions.
The Loveseats are on Twitch and Volume.com! We are (finally) starting to get into streaming. It's kind of like practicing for when we do real shows again except from Josh's little home studio not too far from his air fryer and a bunch of tasty snacks? It's pretty chill.
WE HAVE A T-SHIRT YOU CAN BUY. We finally got some merch done. Hannah Knight aka @ruinshit supplied us with a hi-res black & white print of the DEEP SHAKE cover which we've done on a fresh white 100% cotton Gildan T-shirt. We'll have the white & black shirt for $15 bucks and a trippy hand-made tie dye version for $20!
